Salon Gloss is a growing teaching salon in Little Rock, and we're looking for an experienced stylist who is ready for more than simply building a clientele.

Our Stylist Educator role is designed for a stylist who loves working behind the chair but also feels called to mentor, teach, and help develop the next generation of hairstylists.

WHAT A STYLIST EDUCATOR DOES AT SALON GLOSS

You'll continue building and serving your own clientele while also helping develop our Associate Stylists through hands-on education, coaching, and support on the salon floor.

You'll have the opportunity to perform the services you love—including blonding, dimensional color, luxury extensions, cutting and styling—while helping newer stylists strengthen their technical skills, confidence, professionalism, and guest experience.

This role is about more than being a great hairstylist.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Stylist Educator, you will:

Cut, color, style, and provide specialty services for your own guestsPerform blonding, dimensional color, and customized color servicesPerform and/or develop expertise in luxury hand-tied extension methodsRecommend customized treatments based on each guest's hair needsEducate guests and confidently recommend professional home-care productsMentor and develop Associate Stylists through hands-on salon educationProvide constructive coaching and feedbackDemonstrate Salon Gloss service standards and guest experience expectationsHelp associates strengthen technical skills, consultation skills, efficiency, professionalism, and confidenceParticipate in salon education and trainingStay current on evolving techniques, trends, products, and industry standardsCollaborate with the Salon Gloss team to create an exceptional guest and employee experienceWHAT YOU BRING

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a current Arkansas cosmetology licenseHas established behind-the-chair experienceIs confident in color, blonding, cutting, and stylingHas strong consultation and guest-service skillsIs interested in or experienced with hand-tied extension methodsEnjoys teaching, coaching, and developing other stylistsCommunicates clearly and professionallyIs comfortable giving and receiving feedbackValues teamwork and collaborationWants continued education and professional growthUnderstands the importance of recommending professional products and home careIs dependable, accountable, and committed to high standardsPrevious leadership, mentorship, or salon education experience is preferred, but we're also interested in experienced stylists who naturally demonstrate leadership and are ready to develop that skill.
