Responsibilities

Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and finishing services tailored to each client’s unique preferences and features
Master and utilize salon software such as PHOREST for scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
Perform advanced hair treatments including extensions, balayage, highlights, and corrective color using sound color theory principles
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to proper sterilization procedures for tools like straight razors and scissors
Deliver outstanding customer service through effective client communication, consultation, and personalized recommendations
Upsell retail products such as hair care, styling tools, and nail or eyelash extension services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Manage front desk duties including appointment booking, check-in/out processes, and client inquiries with professionalism
Mentor junior team members, sharing techniques in hair threading, makeup application, or nail care to foster team growth
Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing training on barbering techniques, store management strategies, and new product lines

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse hair services
Familiarity with salon software platforms such as PHOREST or similar systems for scheduling and retail management
Extensive knowledge of hair care products, coloring techniques, extensions, and styling tools including straight razors
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
Experience in retail sales with a focus on upselling techniques that boost revenue while enhancing client satisfaction
Skills in sanitation practices aligned with health regulations for tools like scissors, razors, and brushes
Ability to mentor team members in technical skills such as eyelash extensions or makeup application while fostering a positive salon environment
