Shampoo/Color Assistant

Busy established hairstylist/colorist in Chicago’s Gold Coast is looking for a reliable, experienced shampoo/color assistant 4 days per week. This is a long-term assisting position for someone who genuinely enjoys working in a support role. This is not an apprenticeship or stylist-training position, and there is no expectation to build a clientele or transition onto the floor. Schedule: Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM, Thursday: 7:45 AM, 6:00 PM Friday: 7:45 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may vary somewhat depending on bookings. Responsibilities include: Shampooing and conditioning clients Applying glosses/toners and treatments Assisting with color services, prep extensions hair and tools, Preparing clients and keeping services running smoothly Keeping my station, color area and back bar clean and organized Laundry and general cleaning duties Stocking and organizing products and supplies Anticipating what is needed throughout the day I'm looking for someone who is: Experienced in a salon environment Reliable and punctual — especially with the 7:45 AM start Fast, organized and detail-oriented Warm and professional with clients Comfortable working in a busy, upscale salon Interested in a stable, long-term assistant position Location: Gold Coast, Chicago Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday Compensation: Competitive hourly pay + tips Please message me with your salon experience, current availability and a little about yourself.
