Shampoo Assistant/Assistant Stylist & colorist

I'm an independent hairstylist and colorist at House 22 Salon & Spa in Chicago's Gold Coast with a full, tightly booked schedule, and I'm looking for an energetic, happy, reliable assistant who wants a long-term role supporting my chair. You'll work alongside one stylist in a calm, upbeat setting, not a chaotic big salon. What you'll do:

Shampoo and condition clients, with a relaxing, attentive touchApply glosses and tonersMix color to formulaOccasionally blow-dry a client when the schedule is running behindKeep the station, bowls, and tools clean, stocked, and readyHelp a busy day flow on time by prepping clients and turning over the spaceWhat I'm looking for:

Energetic, upbeat, and positive, someone clients are happy to seeExperience as a salon assistant or shampoo assistant preferredComfortable shampooing, applying glosses, and mixing color; blow-drying skills are a plusSomeone who sees assisting as their career and wants to stay long termPunctual, dependable, and calm in a fast-paced scheduleWarm and professional with clientsThis is a dedicated assistant position, not an apprenticeship or a path to building your own book, so it isn't a fit for cosmetology students or recent grads.

Schedule (3 days off every week):

Wednesday, 7:45 AM to 2:00 PMThursday, 7:45 AM to 6:00 PMFriday, 7:45 AM to 6:00 PMSaturday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PMPay and perks:
