Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced hair cutting and styling services for diverse hair types and textures. Execute a full spectrum of hair coloring services, including balayage, highlights, all-over color, and color correction. Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their needs, preferences, and hair concerns. Provide expert advice on hair care, product recommendations, and at-home styling techniques. Stay current with industry trends, attend educational workshops, and master new techniques and services. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped workstation, adhering to strict sanitation standards. Build and nurture a loyal client base through exceptional service and personalized attention. Collaborate effectively with salon colleagues, contributing to a positive and supportive team atmosphere. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior stylists, sharing knowledge and best practices. Manage appointments efficiently and handle client scheduling and inquiries with professionalism.
Qualifications:
Valid Cosmetology license in the state of California. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a licensed hair stylist and colorist. Proven expertise in creative cutting, advanced coloring techniques, and styling. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of styles and color transformations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for client satisfaction. Knowledge of various hair care product lines and their effective use. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to professionalism. Experience in a high-volume, upscale salon environment is highly preferred. A genuine passion for the beauty industry and a dedication to continuous learning.
