Senior Hair Stylist

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We're looking for a seasoned, passionate Hair Stylist to join our team at Oliver's Salon & Spa — a full-service, upscale salon and spa with a well-established reputation and a loyal guest base. This is a commission-based role designed for a confident, skilled stylist who is ready to grow their business within a supportive, professional environment. If you take pride in precision cutting, creative color work, and building lasting client relationships, we want to meet you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Deliver exceptional precision haircuts and styling services to a diverse clientele
Perform advanced color services including balayage, highlights, corrective color, and color corrections
Conduct thorough consultations to understand client goals and set realistic expectations
Maintain detailed and legible client service notes for continuity of care
Build and grow a strong personal book through rebooking, referrals, and outstanding service
Recommend and retail professional hair care products tailored to each client's needs
Maintain workstation sanitation and cleanliness per state board standards
Collaborate with and support fellow team members in a positive, team-oriented environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a licensed hair stylist
Demonstrated expertise in precision cutting techniques for all hair types and textures
Advanced coloring skills — balayage, highlights, toning, and corrective work required
Established clientele you are able to bring with you (strongly preferred)
Valid, current state cosmetology license required before start date
Strong consultation and communication skills
Professional, polished presentation and appearance at all times
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time, bookings, and client relationships independently
Genuine enthusiasm for continuing education and staying current with industry trends

COMPENSATION

Competitive Commission based on revenue tier
Retail commission — 10% on product sales

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
