Responsibilities

Deliver expert hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, and special occasion styles using current techniques and industry best practices.
Perform advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to meet diverse client needs.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of the salon, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols.
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking to ensure smooth daily operations.
Provide personalized consultations by understanding client preferences, offering professional advice on hair care products, and upselling retail items effectively.
Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and coordinating appointments with excellent communication skills.
Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in areas such as color theory, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and retail math for sales optimization.

Experience

Proven experience as a professional stylist or barber with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse skills in hair styling, coloring, and grooming.
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for booking and client management.
Demonstrated expertise in specialized services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, threading, and nail care.
Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety procedures within a salon environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients confidently and provide outstanding customer service.
Experience in retail sales techniques with an emphasis on upselling products related to hair care and beauty treatments.
Certification or licensing in cosmetology or barbering required; additional training in makeup application or store management is a plus.
