Hair Stylist Skills and Qualifications: Strong foundation and passion for hair with at least five years of work experience as a Hairstylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or similar roleProficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlersMust have customer service experience, knowing how to properly greet in-person and over the phoneMust understand the importance of "upselling" and building rapport with clients.The ability to communicate compassionately with customers and understand a look they want, even if they don’t know the technical terms for a certain style.Hands-on experience with various coloring techniques.Experience using different types of scissors, trimmers, and other tools to create hairstyles.An understanding of the different types of hairstyles a person can request and how to properly achieve those looks without damage.A willingness to learn about new styles and techniques that prevent damage and increase long-term client hair health.Excellent communication skills with clients and staff; showing accountability for being clear, direct, and professional at all times.Ability to stand for long hours while keeping a positive attitude.Ability to take initiative and go above and beyond the Standard Operating ProceduresDuties and Responsibilities: The HVS Incubator: 1.)
