Salon Receptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, manage appointment scheduling, and ensure a smooth salon operation. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle retail sales and cashiering duties efficiently. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse clientele. The receptionist will also support merchandising, stocking, and product demos to enhance the client experience.

Duties

Greet clients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Manage appointment bookings systems and maintain an organized schedule
Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette and assist clients with inquiries or rescheduling
Upsell salon services and retail products to maximize sales opportunities
Process transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
Assist with merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing retail products
Market on a daily using social media and software clients about new or featured products and services
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Support team members with basic retail math for inventory management and sales tracking
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and courteously

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities in the front desk area
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and stock management is beneficial
Strong communication skills, phone etiquette, and sales skills are essential
Experience in a grocery store or similar retail environment is helpful but not required
Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management are necessary
