Salon Receptionist

Summary:

VonnJones Salon is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and organized part-time salon receptionist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a creative eye for social media and branding. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless client experience while supporting our salon team with scheduling, inventory management, and occasional content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Experience and Front desk:

-Greet clients and create a welcoming, positive environment.

-Answer phones, respond to messages, and assist with booking appointments.

-Check clients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

-Handle client questions, concerns, and scheduling needs professionally.

-Support daily opening and closing procedures.

Scheduling & Team support:

-Manage and optimize stylist schedules to maximize productivity.

- Support the Salon Manager with day-to-day operations and assist with various needs as they arise.

-Communicate clearly with team members to keep the day running smoothly.

Social Media and Marketing:

-Assist with planning and creating social media content.

-Assist in capturing photos/videos of services and salon life.

-Brainstorm creative ideas to promote services, products, and events.

Inventory and Retail Management:

-Monitor product inventory and restock as needed.

-Track retail sales and inventory to keep product count up to date.

-Keep front desk and retail areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.

Qualifications & Skills:

-Previous salon, retail, or customer service experience required.

-References may be required upon submitting resume.

-Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.

-Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

-Comfortable with social media platforms.

-Be willing to receive feedback and make immediate improvements.

-Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Days and Hours needed:

Were currently hiring for a part-time position, with the possibility of more hours as our salon continues to expand- we’d love someone who’s excited to grow with us!

Tuesdays: 10-4

Thursdays: 11-close (6pm)

Fridays: 11- close (6pm)

Saturdays: 9-2 (open to close)

Hours can be subject to change depending on employee/employers needs

Must be flexible to help pick up or change shifts if needed.
