Salon Receptionist

We're looking for an experienced, proactive Salon Receptionist to run the front of house and support our busy, fast-paced salon.

This role is ideal for someone with a hairdressing or salon background who understands how important the desk is to keeping the salon running smoothly.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for our clients and play a key role in the day-to-day organisation of the salon. This is a hands-on position that requires initiative, confidence and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Answer phones and manage salon bookings

Greet, seat and look after clients in salon

Quote services accurately (phone & in-salon)

Take payments and rebook clients

Utilise salon software for bookings, notes and client management

General admin duties

Reply to emails, reviews, Instagram & Facebook enquiries

Assist with newsletters and client communication

Take before & after photos

Create basic content for social media (preferred, not essential)

Look ahead in the diary and actively help fill all stylists

Support the team where needed, including assisting with shampooing or basic salon support

About You

Confident with customer service and client communication

Comfortable using salon software and booking systems

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Proactive, reliable and able to work independently

Fast learner with common sense and initiative

Comfortable in a fast-paced salon environment

Willing to learn new systems, social media tasks and salon processes

Demonstrated proficiency in salon software systems for bookings and client management

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.78 - $21.34 per hour
