Salon Manager - Up to $5,000 Signing Bonus

Starting salary $50,000 + up to $4,000 in annual performance bonuses

Design 1 Salon Spa is looking for a motivated Salon Manager to lead one of our high-performing teams in Grand Rapids. With over 40 years of excellence and recognition from Grand Rapids Magazine as Best Hair Salon, Best Day Spa, and Best Manicure/Pedicure, we are West Michigan’s premier destination for luxury salon and spa services across four locations.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and inspire a talented team of commission-based stylists and spa professionals
Set clear sales and service goals, track performance, and deliver consistent feedback and reviews
Drive service revenue, retail sales, and client rebooking rates
Protect and elevate the Design 1 client experience so every guest receives the highest standard of service
Handle team and client concerns quickly and professionally
Oversee daily operations including inventory, product ordering, salon upkeep, and compliance with policies and safety standards
Support a positive, high-energy salon culture

Who We’re Looking For

2+ years of proven leadership experience (salon, spa, or related service industry preferred)
Strong ability to develop people and drive results through coaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, commission-based environment
Calm under pressure and skilled at resolving issues
Some evening and weekend availability
Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, scheduling systems, Excel/spreadsheets)

Salon or spa management experience is a strong plus.
