Salon Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Salon Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our salon. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily salon activities, manage staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales growth. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure a motivated and skilled team.
Manage daily operations including appointment scheduling, customer service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Oversee inventory management, purchasing supplies, and controlling stock levels to optimize product availability and reduce waste.
Implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets through retail product promotion and client upselling.
Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations accurately.
Coordinate marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing customers through promotions and community engagement.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations, safety protocols, and company policies while fostering a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

Experience

Proven management experience in a retail or service-oriented environment, preferably within the beauty or grooming industry.
Demonstrated supervisory skills with a track record of team leadership in a fast-paced setting.
Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory control, merchandising, and operational management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage managerial communication confidently.
Experience with POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse clientele effectively.
Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail store or grocery store environment is highly desirable.
