Salon Manager

Shear Excellence is expanding to beautiful Morrison Yard Residences in Charleston, SC, and we’re looking for an exceptional Salon Manager to help lead our newest location! If you’re a natural leader who thrives in a positive, fast-paced environment, loves working with people, and is excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up, we’d love to meet you! Inspire, motivate, and lead your team with positivity and professionalism Uphold and enforce salon policies, procedures, and brand standards Help create a welcoming, polished, and exceptional guest experience Support daily salon operations and ensure smooth salon flow Assist with inventory management and product organization Warmly greet guests and coordinate appointments accurately, both in person and over the phone Process client transactions efficiently Support and coach team members while leading by example Problem-solve gracefully and confidently to ensure excellent customer service Keep the salon organized, clean, and aligned with Shear Excellence standards Seamlessly shift between priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment Help establish and grow Shear Excellence’s presence in the Charleston community through grassroots marketing and relationship-building efforts Participate in and help lead on-site and off-site community events in coordination with our Brand Manager and General Manager Take initiative in identifying opportunities to connect with local businesses, residents, and the surrounding community Management or leadership experience preferred A self-starter who takes initiative and doesn’t need to be micromanaged A confident, independent decision-maker who can assess situations and take appropriate action A leader who leads by example and brings positive energy to the team Strong multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities Highly motivated, dependable, upbeat, and punctual Excellent communication skills, including phone and email etiquette Ability to connect with a variety of personalities Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities and making decisions independently Experience with or a willingness to participate in grassroots marketing, community outreach, and events Salon or spa experience is a plus Willingness to work Saturdays and evenings (we are closed Sundays!) 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
