Salon Front Desk / Assistant

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and is patient, kind, respectful, and willing to provide a little extra assistance when needed. While the pace is generally comfortable, there are times when the front desk can become busy and several things may need attention at once. The front desk is a very important part of our clients’ experience. Double-check scheduling details and take ownership of correcting mistakes when they occurManage several tasks when needed while staying organized and providing friendly customer serviceProcess cash, check, and credit card payments accuratelyCount money and make change accuratelyMaintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the dayBalance and close the cash drawer at the end of the business dayMake sure all cash, checks, credit card transactions, and other payments are properly entered before closingCreate and process client invoices as neededReview, organize, and pay business invoices as directedMaintain accurate client information and appointment recordsAssist clients with questions regarding appointments, services, invoices, and paymentsCommunicate messages and important information to stylists and other salon staffAssist hairstylists and other team members as needed throughout the dayHelp maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and reception areaWash, dry, and fold salon towels and capes as neededAssist with light cleaning to help keep the salon neat and welcomingAssist with retail product sales and basic inventory organizationComplete assigned opening and closing responsibilitiesHelp ensure daily front desk responsibilities are completed before the end of each shiftTake initiative with routine tasks and help wherever needed to keep the salon running smoothlyQualifications & Skills Some clients may need a little extra time or assistance, and we want someone who enjoys providing that help and makes every client feel welcome.
