Role Description The Salon Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role based at Elle Salon in Wildwood & Eureka, MO. This position manages the front desk, greeting clients warmly, checking them in and out, and ensuring a smooth flow of appointments throughout the day. The Salon Coordinator is responsible for answering phones, responding to inquiries, scheduling and confirming appointments, and coordinating with stylists to optimize the daily calendar. Additional tasks include handling payments, maintaining client records, supporting retail sales, and helping keep the salon clean and organized. The role also involves providing consistent, professional customer service and acting as a key point of communication between clients and salon staff.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.Experience with phone etiquette and receptionist duties, including answering calls, directing inquiries, and managing the front desk.Proficiency in appointment scheduling and calendar management using salon software or similar systems.Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Comfort handling payments, basic cash management, and point-of-sale systems.Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent full-time schedule, including evenings or weekends as needed.Prior experience in a salon, spa, or customer-facing retail environment is beneficial.High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or business administration is a plus.
