Responsibilities

Manage your own client appointments, ensuring timely and personalized service delivery.
Utilize salon software such as Vagaro for scheduling, client management, and billing to streamline operations.
Provide expert hair care services including hair styling, coloring, extensions, and nail care to meet diverse client needs.
Perform specialized treatments like eyelash extensions, makeup application, hair threading, and sanitation procedures to uphold salon standards.
Maintain a clean and sanitized booth environment in compliance with health regulations and sanitation protocols.
Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, offering consultations and upselling retail products to enhance their experience.
Stay updated on current trends in hair coloring, color theory, barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves, and other beauty industry innovations.
Assist with front desk duties when needed—checking in clients, managing retail sales, and supporting overall store management efforts.
Mentor new team members or apprentices to foster a collaborative atmosphere focused on skill development and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with proficiency in hair styling, coloring, barbering (including straight razors), and nail care.
Strong knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
Demonstrated expertise in hair care techniques including extensions, hair coloring, and hair threading.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a safe salon environment.
Ability to perform retail sales and upselling by recommending products such as hair care items or makeup to clients.
Experience working in store management or front desk roles is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management.
Certification in cosmetology or barbering is preferred; ongoing education in color theory or advanced styling techniques is advantageous.
