Responsibilities

Assist senior stylists with hair treatments, blowouts, color applications, and finishing touches using techniques like hair extensions, balayage, or straight razor shaves.Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients at the front desk, scheduling appointments via salon software like MINDBODY, and ensuring a welcoming experience.Support sanitation and cleanliness standards by sterilizing tools, sanitizing workstations, and maintaining a hygienic environment in compliance with health regulations.Manage retail sales by recommending hair care products, makeup items, nail care and products, to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue through upselling.Perform hair , basic nail care services, or assist with hair extension applications.Maintain accurate records of appointments, client preferences, retail transactions, and store management tasks using salon software systems.Mentor new team members or apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling, color theory, retail math calculations, and effective communication skills to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.Experience

Previous experience in a salon environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!Knowledge of cosmetology or barbering practices including hair styling, coloring techniques, sanitation protocols, and customer service standards.Familiarity with salon software such as Boulevard or similar platforms for appointment scheduling and client management.Skills in retail sales strategies including upselling products like hair extensions or nail services to enhance client experiences.Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members while demonstrating professionalism and active listening skills.Experience with specialized services such as eyelash extensions or nail care is a plus but can be developed on the job.
