Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and assist with appointment check-ins and check-outs using salon management software such as MINDBODY.
Support stylists with preparing styling stations, sanitizing tools, and maintaining salon cleanliness in accordance with sanitation standards.
Assist with hair coloring, hair extensions, makeup application, and other beauty services under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Manage retail product upselling by recommending hair care products, styling tools, and accessories to enhance client results.
Maintain accurate client records, update service notes, and communicate effectively with clients regarding their appointments and preferences.
Ensure all salon equipment and tools are properly sanitized and stored after use to uphold health standards.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that fosters mentoring opportunities and professional growth.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in the beauty industry or a strong interest in cosmetology, barbering, or hair styling is highly preferred.
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
Basic understanding of hair coloring techniques, color theory, and sanitation protocols.
Ability to perform or learn makeup application techniques to assist clients with beauty needs.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
Familiarity with hair care products, hair styling tools including straight razors, and hair extensions is a plus.
A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail to support store management functions effectively.
