Salon Assistant/ Apprenticeship

Compensation: $15-$17hr + tips, based on experience and progress throughout the apprenticeship.

Job Summary:

Assistant / Stylist Apprenticeship

B.U. Hair Studio is looking for someone who is passionate, motivated, and eager to grow in the hair industry.

This 1-year hands-on apprenticeship is ideal for a recent beauty school graduate or stylist with 1–2 years of experience who wants to expand their knowledge and confidence behind the chair.

Cosmetology license preferred, but recent graduates who have completed beauty school and are scheduled to take their licensing exam are welcome to apply.

What you’ll learn:

Haircutting & styling
Color theory, formulation & application
Blonding & dimensional color
Consultations & client experience
Time management & salon efficiency
Building a clientele & social media

We’re looking for someone who is:

Hardworking, punctual & reliable
Positive and professional
Coachable and eager to learn
Self-motivated and takes initiative
Passionate about continuing their education
Comfortable with social media/content creation

You’ll receive hands-on education while working alongside with me and assisting with clients and daily salon operations.
