Assistant/Apprentice Stylist at Best Salon on Long Island Job Description Join a salon that was voted Best Salon on Long Island! We are located directly in the heart of Manhasset and have remained one of the top salons for 15+ years. We are seeking driven candidates to join our salon as assistants/apprentices to grow our team. You must have a passion for cosmetology and be willing to learn. This position has the largest opportunity for advancement in the salon, given that you are willing to work for it. All of our stylists are promoted from assistant/apprentice positions.
We are a constant learning environment. There will be constant opportunity to further your education, both with classes and with on the floor training. You will be directly trained one on one by the owner, Adelina Rapo, who is one of the best stylists in New York.
You must be a team player, and have excellent customer service skills. We pride ourselves on our interactions with the client, and making sure that we maintain our stellar reputation of outstanding service.
Responsibilities Shampoo hair Prepare hair stylist stations Sweep floors Mix colors Laundry Stock towels, products, and retail inventory Answer phones and schedule appointments Provide other assistance as necessary Maintain a professional demeanor Blow-dry hair Requirements A Cosmetology license is not required for this position, but it is REQUIRED that you either have one or are working towards one.
