MaryFrank Salon is a growing luxury salon and team in the heart of Downtown Asheville, and we’re looking for a motivated, personable, and passionate Salon Apprentice to join us.

This is an opportunity to learn within a refined, elevated salon environment while being personally mentored by Mary Cocozziello, founder of MaryFrank Salon, and our talented team of experienced professionals. Under our guidance, you’ll develop the technical skills, confidence, and guest-service expertise needed to grow into a successful stylist.

As you progress through our training and demonstrate your skills, you’ll have the opportunity to work within our Blowout Bar, building your own speed, confidence, and clientele while delivering beautiful, polished results. From there, our goal is to help the right apprentice continue developing toward working on the salon floor as a stylist.

What You’ll Do

Assist senior stylists with shampooing, conditioning, blowouts, and salon services
Prepare guests for their appointments and help create a warm, polished, luxury experience from the moment they arrive
Maintain an immaculate, organized, and elevated salon environment
Sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas according to professional standards
Assist with salon inventory, products, and supplies
Begin developing your knowledge of color theory, formulation, and application techniques under the guidance of experienced stylists
Learn our professional product lines and how to thoughtfully recommend products based on each guest’s individual needs
Observe and learn the artistry, technical skills, and guest-care standards that define a luxury salon experience
As your skills develop, begin taking on additional responsibilities and services within our Blowout Bar
Continue progressing through our training with the long-term opportunity to transition onto the salon floor as a stylist

What We’re Looking For

Currently enrolled in cosmetology school, recently graduated, or nearing graduation
A genuine passion for hair, beauty, and the guest experience
Basic knowledge of cosmetology principles and techniques
Familiarity with professional sanitation practices
Strong communication skills and a polished, professional presence
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Someone who is coachable, dependable, curious, and eager to continuously improve
A desire to build a long-term career in a luxury salon environment

You’ll have the opportunity to learn directly from Mary and our experienced team, gaining insight into everything from technical skill and styling to consultation, product knowledge, guest relationships, and the standards of a luxury salon.
