About the Role
Swella is looking for a skilled and dependable braiding professional to join our team at our Charlotte location. This is a commission based position. If you enjoy creating beautiful braid styles, delivering excellent client experiences, and working in a professional salon environment, we'd love to hear from you.
As a member of the Swella team, you'll work with a growing client base and benefit from our marketing support, paid training, and an environment designed to help you develop your skills. This position offers commission-based earnings + tips, with opportunities to grow alongside our business.
What You'll Do
Provide a variety of braiding services, including knotless braids, cornrows, tribal braids, and other braid styles.
Deliver a welcoming, professional, and high-quality experience for every client.
Recommend appropriate haircare practices and suggest alternative braid styles based on individual client needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
Follow Swella's service standards and all-black dress code.
Contribute to a positive salon environment through reliability, initiative, and strong teamwork.
What We're Looking For
At least one year of salon experience preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of braiding techniques and styles.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
A dependable, proactive approach to work and the ability to thrive in a busy salon.
A professional appearance and willingness to follow salon dress code requirements.
A client-focused mindset, including the ability to provide thoughtful haircare guidance and styling recommendations.

Pay: From $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
