Waxing the City on Magazine Street is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated college student to join our team as a Studio Coordinator!
This is a great opportunity for a student who enjoys working with people, is naturally organized, and wants to gain valuable customer service, sales, and business operations experience while earning money during college.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and can keep things running smoothly in a busy salon. This is more than a receptionist position. Our Studio Coordinators play an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience and supporting our team.
What You'll Do
Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional first impression.Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist guests with questions.Check guests in and out and process payments accurately.Support our Cerologists (waxing specialists) throughout the day.Assist with retail sales and promote our services and membership program.Keep the front desk and reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.Help with daily studio operations and make sure guests receive outstanding service.Our Ideal Candidate
Currently attending college and looking for part-time work.Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with people.Reliable, punctual, and accountable.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.A self-starter who takes initiative without always needing direction.Professional and calm when the studio gets busy.Comfortable using computers and learning booking systems.A team player who is willing to help wherever needed.Customer service, retail, or receptionist experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person!
Schedule & Availability
Our studio operates Monday through Saturday. Available shifts include:
Monday–Friday morning: 8:30 AM–2:30 PMMonday–Friday evening: 2:30 PM–8:00 PMSaturday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PMHoliday Availability Requirement: Applicants must be available to work scheduled shifts during the holiday season, including the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please consider your school break and travel plans before applying.
We are seeking a part-time employee with consistent availability that fits our scheduling needs. Applicants must be able to commit to their agreed-upon shifts and arrive on time.
Please note: This position is part-time and is not intended to provide full-time hours.
