Part-Time Hair Salon Assistant – DTLA

KoRa Aura Hair & Spa is a Korean-owned private hair studio located in Downtown Los Angeles. We provide personalized, one-on-one hair services and specialize in Korean and modern hair techniques, including color, cuts, perms, and hair treatments.

I currently work independently in a small private studio and am looking for a Part-Time Hair Salon Assistant to support me on busy days.

I’m looking for someone who is positive, energetic, friendly, quick to learn, and attentive. Since we work closely together in a small space, a great attitude, good communication, and teamwork are very important.

Responsibilities

Shampoo and rinse clients
Blow-dry and assist with basic styling
Apply hair color with proper direction
Assist with color, perm, and treatment services
Prepare and organize tools, products, and color supplies
Keep the shampoo area, workstation, and studio clean and organized
Help create a comfortable and welcoming experience for clients
Assist with general salon tasks during busy appointments

What I’m Looking For

Basic salon experience is preferred. You should already be comfortable with shampooing, blow-drying, and basic hair color application.

You do not need to know everything. Opportunities for ongoing hands-on education and advanced hair technique training will be provided. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about color techniques, Korean hair techniques, treatments, perms, styling, and salon workflow.

Position Details

Part-Time Hair Salon Assistant
Downtown Los Angeles
Approximately 1–2 days per week
Primarily needed on Fridays, Saturdays, and busy days
