Paid Cosmetology Resident - 6-Week Mentorship Program

Job Description The Beauty Guild, an initiative of Hands That Built America, is launching a 6-week paid cosmetology residency in Albany County, NY.

We are selecting 5 participants for this first cohort.

This opportunity is designed for both new cosmetology graduates and professionals who want to return to the industry after time away and rebuild their confidence, skills and career path.

The residency is built to bridge the gap between cosmetology education and sustainable employment through structured, hands-on mentorship and real-world experience.

Residents will work alongside experienced professionals while developing:

Cutting, color, styling and finishing skillsConsultation and client communicationRepetition, speed and confidenceProfessional salon systems and client experienceWorkplace readiness and career developmentOngoing feedback and guided mentorship This is not another cosmetology school. It is the bridge into the workforce — or the bridge back into it.
