Overview
Theory Salon & Barbershop is seeking experienced and professional Barbers to join our growing team at the Detroit Arsenal Military Base location. This position is ideal for barbers who are passionate about men’s grooming, committed to delivering excellent customer service, and experienced working with diverse hair textures and styles.
Our team proudly serves active military personnel and their families in a professional, fast-paced, and welcoming environment.
$14/hour guaranteed or
45%–55% commission (whichever is greater)

Responsibilities
Perform professional men’s haircuts, fades, beard trims, and grooming services for clients of all hair textures and backgrounds
Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive client experience
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations
Manage appointment scheduling and client services using salon booking systems when needed
Recommend grooming products and services based on client needs
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the standards of Theory Salon & Barbershop
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient and welcoming shop environment
Qualifications
Active barber or cosmetology license required based on state regulations
Experience cutting and grooming men’s hair in a professional barbershop or salon setting
Strong clipper, fading, and precision cutting skills
Experience working with all hair textures and styles preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
Ability to work part-time hours Tuesday–Thursday from 9AM–2PM
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
