Duties

Perform a variety of professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are upheld
Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable nail treatments, and suggest complementary services such as body waxing or eyelash extensions
Apply color theory principles to craft custom nail designs that match clients’ styles and occasions
Upsell retail products like nail care essentials, skincare items, and beauty tools to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Stay current with the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and industry innovations such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments when applicable
Build strong relationships through excellent customer service, effective communication skills, and attentive listening

Requirements

Valid cosmetology license or certification in nail technology as required by local regulations
Proven experience in nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel applications, and acrylics
Knowledge of color theory for creating appealing designs and nail art
Familiarity with sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures to ensure client safety
Ability to perform additional beauty treatments such as hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, or body waxing is a plus
Strong communication skills to understand client needs and provide professional recommendations
Retail sales experience with upselling skills to promote products confidently
Willingness to learn new techniques like eyelash extensions or esthetic laser treatments to expand service offerings
