Responsibilities

Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care
Deliver professional hairstyling including cuts, blowouts, styling, hair extensions, and special occasion looks
Apply hair coloring techniques using color theory principles to achieve desired results safely and effectively
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and sales transactions
Provide personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable services or products
Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and nail polishes to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Offer expert advice on hair care routines, styling tips, and maintenance to foster long-term client relationships
Mentor junior team members in technical skills and customer service excellence
Manage store operations efficiently while ensuring a positive client experience at all times

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a nail technician or hairstylist with a strong portfolio of work
Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
Expertise in hair coloring techniques and knowledge of color theory for customized results
Skilled in hair styling methods including cutting, blowouts, braiding, and using tools like straight razors and curling irons
Knowledge of hair extensions application and maintenance for added client options
Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients about their needs and preferences
Ability to perform makeup application for various occasions when needed
Store management experience is a plus for overseeing daily operations smoothly
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that makes clients feel valued
Ability to upsell products tactfully while focusing on client satisfaction and loyalty
