Master Colorist — Union Street Salon
Location: Downtown Nashville, TN
Union Street Salon is seeking an experienced Master Colorist with strong technical skills, a creative eye, and a passion for delivering beautiful, personalized results. The ideal candidate is confident handling advanced color services, protecting hair integrity, and building lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough consultations to assess hair history, condition, desired results, maintenance needs, and pricing.Perform advanced color services, including balayage, dimensional blonding, highlights, gray coverage and blending, custom toning, vivid color, and color corrections.Develop realistic treatment plans for complex transformations, including services requiring multiple appointments.Formulate and apply color accurately while prioritizing hair and scalp health.Perform strand and patch tests when appropriate and follow product instructions and salon protocols.Maintain detailed client records, including formulas, processing times, service notes, and preferences.Educate clients on aftercare, recommended products, and maintenance appointments.Support and mentor stylists and apprentices through demonstrations, formulation guidance, and constructive feedback.Maintain a clean, organized workstation and use products efficiently.Manage appointments professionally, communicate timing clearly, and provide a consistent client experience.Stay current with color techniques through ongoing education.Qualifications
Active Tennessee cosmetology license.Extensive professional color experience with a portfolio demonstrating advanced techniques and consistent results.Strong understanding of color theory, underlying pigment, formulation, and corrective color.Ability to work confidently with a variety of hair textures and conditions.Excellent consultation, communication, and time-management skills.Reliable attendance, professionalism, and a collaborative approach.Advanced color education or certifications preferred.What Success Looks Like

Pay: $5,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
