Master Barber/Stylist

This is commission only, if interested please contact this or the owner of the Barbershop. Don't pay attention to the pay amount, it is a 65/35 split for the Barbers.

Bring technical skill and personal style to the Master Barber/Stylist role. You’ll deliver thoughtful hair care and grooming services, build lasting client relationships, and help maintain a welcoming, professional salon environment. Your impact: By listening closely and recommending services suited to each client, you help clients feel confident and cared for.

Responsibilities

Provide barbering and hair styling services, including straight-razor work, hair coloring, and makeup application, based on client needs and your qualifications.Consult with clients about their preferences, hair care routines, color options, and service recommendations; communicate clearly throughout each appointment.Deliver attentive customer service and identify relevant products or services for upselling without pressure.Maintain sanitation standards, prepare tools and work areas, and follow applicable safety and cosmetology requirements.Support store management, use salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client records, and mentor team members as appropriate.Qualifications

Experience working in the beauty industry, with demonstrated skills in barbering, hair styling, hair care, and client communication.Knowledge of color theory; experience with hair coloring, hair extensions, straight-razor techniques, or makeup application is valuable.Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional, client-focused approach. We aim to keep the atmosphere calm and quiet.Cosmetology or barbering credentials required where applicable by local regulations; experience with sanitation practices, mentoring, upselling, or store management is a plus.Pay: From $16.00 per hour
