Master Barber/Stylist

Duties

Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care with precision and creativity
Apply advanced techniques such as balayage, highlights, lowlights, and color theory to achieve client desired looks
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations
Provide expert consultations on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling opportunities
Mentor and train junior stylists and apprentices in technical skills such as hair threading, makeup application, straight razor shaving, and retail math
Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and ensuring smooth salon operations

Skills

Extensive experience in hair styling, coloring, and advanced techniques such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions
Strong knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for efficient scheduling and client management
Proficiency in color theory to customize styles that complement each client’s features and preferences
Skilled in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and precision cuts
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing exceptional customer service
Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Experience in store management or leadership roles is a plus for mentoring team members
