Duties

Perform precision haircuts, fades, trims, and styling for men, women, and children using professional tools such as scissors, clippers, straight razors, and styling products
Apply hair coloring techniques based on color theory principles to achieve desired looks, including highlights, balayage, and full-color treatments
Offer specialized services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, hair threading.
Provide grooming services such as straight razor shaves and beard trims with attention to detail and safety standards
Educate clients on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail options to promote ongoing maintenance at home
Manage appointments efficiently using salon software like MINDBODY to optimize scheduling and client flow
Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, checking in appointments, processing payments, and maintaining a welcoming environment
Upsell retail products confidently through retail math skills while ensuring client needs are met with quality solutions
Maintain barber/salon sanitation standards rigorously to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling techniques and customer service excellence
Support store management in daily operations including inventory management and sales tracking

Requirements

Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of current industry trends and techniques
Experience in hair styling, barbering, color application, and advanced services like hair extensions or eyelash extensions preferred
Strong communication skills to understand client needs clearly and provide personalized recommendations
Knowledge of sanitation protocols to uphold health standards within the salon environment
Ability to perform retail sales effectively while upselling products that meet client needs
Skills in hair threading, makeup application, nail care (optional but advantageous) to broaden service offerings
Store management experience or leadership qualities are a plus for mentoring team members or assisting with daily operations
Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
