**POSITION PROFILE**

Perform therapeutic massages on clients to relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve physical and emotional well-being by manipulating soft tissues. Key duties involve consulting with clients about their health history and needs, assessing their physical condition, creating and performing customized treatment plans using various techniques, and maintaining accurate client records. They also educate clients on self-care, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and sometimes collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES**

* Consult with clients to understand their health history, lifestyle, and reasons for seeking a massage, and assess areas of stress or pain.
* Develop and recommend personalized massage treatment plans based on the client's needs.
* Administer therapeutic massages using various techniques (like Swedish, deep tissue, or sports massage) and tools (such as hands, elbows, and forearms) to manipulate soft tissues and joints.
* Advise clients on stretching, relaxation methods, and other self-care practices to complement the massage and improve their well-being.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**

* Completion of an accredited massage therapy program and a current, valid state license or certification are typically required.
* A deep understanding of the human body and its systems is essential for effective and safe treatment.
* Strong communication, empathy, and a professional demeanor are crucial for building trust and ensuring a positive client experience.
* The ability to manage appointment times effectively and handle other business tasks is important for a steady clientele.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

* The job is physically demanding, requiring the strength and ability to stand for extended periods and apply pressure using various body parts (hands, fingers, elbows, etc.).

Esthetician:
➢Prepare station for guests’ arrival
➢Promptly greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
➢Provide services in an exceptionally timely, safe, thorough and professional manner
➢Performs services keeping guest satisfaction a priority while running on time for next guest appointment
➢Maintain pleasant and professional conversation as lead by the guest
➢Become familiar with guest names and acknowledges them by name
➢Serves each guest on a one-to-one basis with utmost courtesy
➢Be well versed with skin care ingredients and make appropriate retail recommendations
➢Personalize all services and anticipates guest requests whenever possible
➢Constantly displays outstanding communication and guest relation skills
➢Process dirty linens, fold, stock and put away clean linen
➢Help maintain and clean all common areas of the spa both front and back of the house.
➢Helps with deep cleaning duties and reorganization as needed and/or assigned.
➢Merchandising of retail product to include displaying, straightening and dusting of products
➢Demonstrates a professional attitude in all interactions with guests, hotel staff and vendors
➢Maintain a cooperative attitude in working with management and fellow team members
➢Adheres to all Hotel and Spa standards, procedures and guidelines.
➢Other duties as assigned.
