Responsibilities

Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions with precision and artistry
Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement clients’ styles and preferences
Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a hygienic environment
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure satisfaction
Educate clients on nail care routines, products, and retail sales opportunities to enhance their experience and promote ongoing maintenance
Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques like dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and industry best practices
Assist with retail sales of nail products and related beauty items by upselling in a friendly and professional manner

Skills

Strong knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, and the application of gel manicures, acrylics, and nail extensions
Proficiency in sanitation standards including disinfection procedures to maintain a safe salon environment
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
Experience working in the beauty industry with a solid understanding of cosmetology principles
Ability to perform pedicures, body waxing, hair styling, eyelash extensions, hair threading, esthetic laser treatments, or barbering is a plus but not required
Retail math skills for effective upselling of products while ensuring customer satisfaction
Knowledge of salon safety protocols combined with strong communication skills to educate clients about proper nail care
