@hairqueen_la is a luxury hair store and salon here in Los angeles.

We are seeking a talented and energetic Makeup Artist to join our dynamic beauty team! In this role, you will bring confidence and creativity to clients by enhancing their natural beauty through expert makeup application. knowledge in social media Content creation would be a plus.

Duties

Provide professional makeup application services tailored to each client’s preferences and occasions, including everyday looks, special events, and photoshoots
Consult with clients to understand their desired outcomes, offering expert advice on makeup styles, color choices, and skincare routines
Stay current with the latest makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations to deliver fresh and innovative looks
Promote retail sales by recommending suitable cosmetic products and upselling premium brands to enhance the client’s experience
Capture professional photos of completed looks for portfolio development or promotional purposes while ensuring proper lighting and angles

Qualifications

Proven experience in makeup application with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and techniques
Knowledge of color theory to select flattering shades for different skin tones and facial features
Familiarity with sanitation standards for beauty tools and products to ensure client safety
Excellent communication skills to effectively understand client needs and explain beauty procedures clearly
Social media content creation
Experience in retail sales or upselling cosmetic products is a plus
