Job Summary

Blo Blow Dry Bar is seeking an experienced, talented, and creative Makeup Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty and aesthetics, with the ability to enhance clients' features through expert makeup application.

This role requires strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Makeup Artist will be responsible for providing exceptional service to clients and will help with phones and front desk duties as needed. This position is also responsible for meeting retail goals.

This position will mainly work Saturdays, with flexibility to take appointments upon request throughout the week. Saturdays and Sundays are usually the busiest.

Duties

Apply makeup for various occasions including weddings, photoshoots, and special events.Educate clients on makeup techniques and product usage.Conduct retail sales of beauty products, offering recommendations based on client needs.Sanitize all tools and workspaces before and after each client session to maintain hygiene standards.Utilize knowledge of color theory to create looks that enhance clients’ natural beauty.Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and deliver desired results.Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, techniques, and products in the industry.Qualifications

Proven experience in makeup application ; formal training in cosmetology is preferred. A minimum of one year experience required.Knowledge of retail sales techniques within the beauty industry.Strong understanding of color theory and its application in makeup artistry.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.Perform front desk and administrative duties as neededOffer expert recommendations that lead to product sales and service upgradesAbility to sanitize tools properly and adhere to health regulations.A portfolio showcasing previous work in makeup artistry or related fields is highly desirable.Flexibility to work varied hours based on client needs.Join us in creating beautiful transformations while providing exceptional service! xo

Pay: $12.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
