Responsibilities
Provide expert hair styling, cutting, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs
Perform precise barbering services including straight razor shaves and beard trimming with attention to detail
Assist clients with hair extensions, threading, and specialized hair care treatments to enhance their look and confidence
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations
Use salon management software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their desired results and offer professional recommendations
Upsell retail products such as hair care items and styling tools to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair coloring techniques, color theory, and advanced styling methods
Stay current on industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge to continually elevate service quality
Skills
Expertise in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and traditional grooming styles
Strong knowledge of hair coloring processes and color theory principles for customized results
Experience working in the beauty industry
Skilled in hair extensions application, threading, and advanced hair styling techniques
Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
Ability to manage retail sales effectively through upselling strategies while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Deep understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment at all times
Knowledge of store management practices including retail math for inventory control and sales tracking
Passion for mentoring colleagues to foster skill development within the team
