Hair Stylist — Hairetics Salon (The Witches of 7th Street) | SoMa, San Francisco

Pay: $45,000–$60,000+/year base, with service % pay, tips, and up to a 20% retail bonus. Goal-based service bonuses on top. This performance-based pay structure is also known as a W-2 position.

For 12 years, The Witches of 7th Street have been making magic in SoMa, at the edge of the historic leather district. We're an team-focused, education-based covensalon and a safe space where stylists and clients alike can fully express themselves.

Do you delight in mixing the perfect potion for a flawless Balayage? Can you conjure a whole new head of hair with nothing but your shears and your practical magic? If you think hairstyling is a little bit witchcraft and you're always looking to expand your spellbook, this could be your new coven.

Your Spellbook Should Include:

Valid California cosmetology/barber license
Minimum 2 years experience behind the chair
Clear, kind, and timely communication (in person and in writing)
Strong time management and reliability — even witches keep a schedule
A drive for ongoing education (every good witch is always learning new spells)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Comfort working independently and as part of a team
Solid reading, writing, and computer skills, including Google Suite

Bonus Charms:

Vagaro POS experience
Retail sales experience
Training in extensions, dreadlocks, or braids
