Nadia Vassell Salon is a Black-owned luxury hair salon located in the heart of SoHo, New York City. We specialize exclusively in Black women's hairstyles — silk presses, weave installations, wigs, braids, cuts, color, and more. We have been a staple in this community for over 20 years and we take our craft seriously.
We are looking for a Licensed Hair Stylist who matches that energy.
What we're looking for:
New York State Cosmetology License (required)Minimum 5 years of in-salon experience working with Black hairProficiency in silk presses, weave and wig installations, braids, cuts, and natural hair stylesAn established clientele OR a proven ability and hunger to build oneA professional, client-focused attitudeSomeone who takes pride in their work and shows up consistentlyThis is NOT the role for you if:
You have years of experience but no portfolio to show for itYou cannot demonstrate your skills through photos or video of your actual workYou are looking for a booth rental situationTo apply, you MUST submit:
