About U&K Salon

U&K Salon is a Brooklyn-based hair salon located between Park Slope and Gowanus.

We are looking for a licensed hairstylist who wants steady client flow, a calm and supportive salon environment, and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with local Brooklyn clients.

U&K Salon has over 500 five-star Google reviews and a steady flow of new and referral clients every month.

Our salon focuses on precision haircuts, beautiful hair color, and warm, detail-oriented customer care in a professional space.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a licensed hairstylist with professional salon experience.

The ideal candidate enjoys haircutting, client consultation, and working with a variety of clients, hair types, and haircut styles.

Experience with color, Asian hair, or Japanese-inspired techniques is a plus, but the most important qualities are strong communication, reliability, professionalism, and care for each client.

Weekend availability is a plus, especially Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Compensation

This is a commission-based position.

Estimated earnings are approximately $35–$55 per hour equivalent, depending on schedule, performance, and client flow.

Tips are paid separately.
