Licensed Cosmetologist (Braider)

Responsibilities

Perform professional braiding services including intricate styles such as box braids, Senegalese twists, cornrows, and other custom designs tailored to client preferences.
Provide comprehensive hair care consultations, including advice on hair extensions, coloring, and maintenance routines to promote healthy hair.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly cleaning tools, implements, and workstations in accordance with industry regulations.
Utilize salon software systems like Vagaro to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
Engage with clients through clear communication about styling options, aftercare instructions, and product recommendations to enhance their experience.
Upsell retail products such as hair extensions, styling tools, and hair care products to meet client needs while supporting store sales goals.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointment flow, and supporting store management tasks as needed.

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of braid styles and related services.
Deep knowledge of cosmetology principles including color theory, hair coloring techniques, and advanced styling methods.
Proficiency with salon management software such as Vagaro for scheduling and retail transactions.
Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with clients and understand their individual needs.
Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
Skilled in retail sales techniques including upselling products like hair care and tools et.
Familiarity with hair extensions application techniques and hair care routines for diverse hair types.
