Licensed Cosmetologist

Job Summary

As a Licensed Cosmetologist, you’ll help clients feel confident through thoughtful consultations and personalized beauty services. You’ll assess each client’s needs, explain suitable options, and deliver services with care, skill, and attention to salon safety. Your impact: By listening closely and recommending appropriate services, you help clients make informed choices and enjoy a positive salon experience.

Responsibilities

Apply color theory and hair styling techniques; offer hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, and eyelash extensions as qualified.
Communicate clearly with clients, provide attentive customer service, and recommend relevant retail products or services through appropriate upselling.
Follow sanitation, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols; maintain clean tools and work areas.
Support retail sales and use retail math to process purchases accurately.

Experience

Hold a current cosmetology license required for the services offered and comply with applicable local regulations.
Experience working in the beauty industry is preferred, along with strong client communication and general communication skills.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of cosmetology, sanitation, and safe disinfection practices.
Additional experience with hair, lash and waxing services is welcome; perform specialized treatments only within your license and training.
