Core Responsibilities

Expert Grooming & Exceptional Client Experience

Deliver precision haircuts, fades, beard trims, hot towel straight razor shaves, and grooming services using both classic and modern techniques.

Provide personalized consultations to recommend styles that complement each client's facial features, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences.

Educate clients on at-home grooming, styling techniques, and premium product recommendations.

Build lasting client relationships through exceptional service, refined hospitality, and a consistently elevated grooming experience.

Professional Excellence, Growth & Brand Support

Maintain a clean, organized workstation while adhering to all D.C. Board of Barber and Cosmetology sanitation and safety standards.

Foster a positive, collaborative team culture committed to professionalism, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and advanced training opportunities.

Required Qualifications

A valid state barber or cosmetology license

2+ years of professional experience in a licensed barbershop or upscale grooming setting preferred

Expertise in precision clipper cutting, fades, seamless blends, beard grooming, and lineups; straight razor shaving experience is a plus.

Strong scissor-cutting skills, including precision cuts, layering, and texturizing for a variety of hair types and styles.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Strong understanding of hair and scalp care across diverse hair types

Professional appearance, punctuality, and commitment to hospitality

Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
