Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, hair extensions, and special treatments such as eyelash extensions and nail care.
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client information, and process retail sales efficiently.
Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding client needs, offering professional recommendations, and upselling retail products such as hair care and makeup items.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to proper sanitation protocols for tools, stations, and work areas.
Stay current with industry trends in hair coloring, hair styling, hair threading, and store management techniques to provide innovative services.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction, manage expectations, and build lasting relationships through personalized consultations.
Assist with front desk duties when needed, including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting team mentoring efforts.

Qualifications

Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred.
Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment booking and client management.
Strong knowledge of hair care products, color theory, hair coloring techniques, and sanitation practices.
Skilled in various hairstyling methods including haircutting, blowouts, braiding, and hair extensions application.
Experience with retail sales strategies like upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities.
Excellent communication skills for client consultation and team collaboration.
Ability to perform specialized services such as straight razor shaves or makeup application is a plus.
Knowledge of store management practices including front desk operations and mentoring new team members is advantageous.
