Duties

Provide professional barbering services including haircutting, shaving, beard trimming, and styling using techniques such as straight razor shaves and hair extensions.
Perform hair coloring, hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to offer comprehensive beauty solutions.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations to ensure client safety.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations.
Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their preferences, offering expert advice on hair care and styling options.
Upsell retail products like hair care items, retail math skills to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and supporting store management to ensure smooth salon operations.
Mentor junior staff members and contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge on techniques like hair coloring, hair styling, and retail sales strategies.

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in barbering or cosmetology.
Skilled in various hair care techniques including cutting, styling, coloring, and the use of tools such as straight razors.
Knowledge of salon software platforms like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to the beauty industry to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their grooming needs.
Experience in retail sales within a salon setting, including upselling products related to hair care, makeup, eyelash extensions, and nail care.
Ability to mentor team members on advanced techniques such as hair extensions or color theory while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
