Duties

Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming treatments using straight razors and other tools.
Provide expert hair coloring, hair extensions, threading, and styling services tailored to client requests.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Utilize salon management software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs, offering styling advice, and upselling retail products like hair care items or accessories.
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair care, coloring, and styling while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Manage retail sales by promoting products that complement services while maintaining accurate retail math calculations.

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong knowledge of hair care, coloring theory, and current styling trends.
Licensed cosmetologist or barber with certification in barbering or cosmetology as required by local regulations.
Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
Skilled in using straight razors, hair threading tools, and performing various hair styling techniques.
Deep understanding of sanitation practices to uphold health standards within the salon environment.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
Knowledge of retail sales strategies including upselling techniques and retail math calculations to meet sales goals.
Strong communication skills paired with mentoring abilities to support team development and client satisfaction.
