More Than a Front Desk Position

Lamia + Lamia Salon is looking for a full-time Lead Salon Coordinator who is ready to take ownership of the front desk while learning the business side of a successful, established salon. This is a hands-on front desk position with additional leadership responsibilities and a management track for the right person.

We're looking for someone who wants to master the front desk first and, over time, earn additional responsibility in salon operations and leadership. If you enjoy people, sales, organization and finding ways to make a business run better, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

As our Lead Salon Coordinator, you will:Greet clients and create a warm, polished and professional experience from arrival through checkoutAnswer phones and confidently convert inquiries into appointmentsSchedule and manage appointments accurately and strategicallyEncourage clients to prebook their next appointmentsIdentify opportunities for additional services when appropriateRecommend home-care products based on client needsAssist clients shopping for products, gifts and merchandise in our boutiqueHelp fill appointment openings and keep service-provider schedules productiveProcess transactions and maintain accuracy at the front deskComplete opening and/or closing responsibilities, including daily reportsRun and organize assigned business reportsPerform inventory counts and turn analysis, including identifying slow-moving merchandiseServe as a reliable front-of-house point person when ownership or management is unavailableHelp maintain an organized, professional and welcoming salon environmentWe're looking for someone who is:

Warm, polished and genuinely enjoys working with peopleComfortable recommending products and services and asking for the saleConfident on the phone and able to turn inquiries into appointmentsHighly organized and attentive to detailsDependable and comfortable taking responsibilityAble to remain composed while juggling clients, phones, service providers and changing schedulesComfortable learning salon software, reports and basic business metricsSelf-directed and productive during quieter periods—you notice what needs attention and look for ways to help the salon rather than waiting for your next assignmentInterested in learning how a successful salon operates and finding ways to make the business betterSalon experience is helpful, but not required. Experience in hospitality, retail, boutique sales, customer service, fitness/wellness, medical or dental reception, restaurants or another fast-paced client-facing business may translate very well to this position.
