Overview You’ll bring your expertise in hair care, coloring, extensions, and styling to deliver exceptional service in a lively, welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact on our youngest clients and their families. Provide expert haircuts and styling tailored specifically for children, ensuring a fun and comfortable experience Utilize a variety of techniques including hair coloring, extensions, braiding, and hair threading to create playful and stylish looks Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to salon protocols and health regulations Engage with clients and their families through friendly communication, understanding their preferences and offering professional advice Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as BOOKSY to optimize client flow and service efficiency Upsell retail products like hair care items, styling tools, and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue Assist with front desk duties including client check-in/out, retail sales, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere Previous experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on kids’ hair styling is preferred Strong knowledge of hair care, makeup application, nail care, and barbering techniques Familiarity with salon software such as BOOKSY for appointment management and Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children and their parents or guardians Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for all clients Knowledge of color theory, store management principles, retail math, upselling strategies, and client communication best practices Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; additional certifications in hair threading or nail care are a plus
