Responsibilities
Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and cutting services using advanced techniques and current trends.
Perform skin care treatments and esthetic services such as facials, eyelash extensions, and makeup application.
Offer hair extensions, threading, and straight razor shaves to enhance client satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs and recommending appropriate products or services.
Upsell retail products such as hair care items and skincare products to boost sales while enhancing client results.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and handling payments using retail math skills.
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service excellence.
Stay updated on industry trends in hair care, color theory, barbering, and nail care to provide innovative services.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or esthetician license required; additional certifications in barbering or nail care are a plus.
Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, and skin treatments.
Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices within a salon setting.
Skilled in retail sales techniques including upselling and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities.
Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building lasting relationships.
Ability to perform various services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, hair threading, and straight razor shaves.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage appointments efficiently at the front desk.
